Support worker jobs

Support workers work with vulnerable people in society, such as adults and children with physical and learning disabilities, or those suffering through substance abuse or mental health problems. The primary aim of support worker jobs is to ensure the wellbeing of the individual or family in their care by assisting them to be independent and complete everyday tasks. This could include shopping, health issues, paying bills or getting involved in recreational activities.

Family support worker jobs have a specific role in working with parents, both to ensure the wellbeing of them and their children. They sometimes work on an on-going long term basis, or may come in at times of need such as during grieving, relationship changes or at times of ill health.

Support worker jobs are closely aligned with other public health services, such as GPs, housing associations and social services. We place people in these roles and if you have the motivation and skills to work as one, we’d be happy to help find a role for you.
